The McMinn Law Firm was established in 2005 by Jason B. McMinn, a young aggressive trial attorney. Mr. McMinn began practicing law in the midst of tort reform in the state of Texas. This firm has overcome many obstacles and reformed its practice areas in order to cater to the common person. Mr. McMinn began his legal career working for a large established law firm in Fort Worth, Texas. His primary practice areas were business litigation, medical malpractice defense, and general insurance defense. Mr. McMinn worked closely with some of the top defense attorneys in the State of Texas. He had a very hands on approach and was allowed to be more involved with the litigation process than most of his peers. When tort reform took a toll on the defense work available, Mr. McMinn saw an opportunity to start his own firm with the vast array of knowledge and expertise he gained while working for this firm. Mr. McMinn started the McMinn Law Firm in Fort Worth, Texas in 2005, and he moved the firm to New Braunfels in 2006 with the idea of catering to a growing community and extending his practice to the smaller Texas counties extending to the gulf coast with a satellite office in Victoria, Texas. The firm has currently grown to four total employees with a vast background and experience to handle your legal needs. The McMinn Law Firm has changed it's approach over it's two year existence. The one common approach is that the firm focuses exclusively on litigation and areas of law which require experience, innovation, and personable trial techniques. Currently, the firm focuses in three major areas of the law; personal injury law, criminal defense and family law. The McMinn Law Firm uses its extensive experience on the defense side to represent plaintiffs in various personal injury cases. No case is too small for our firm and we are willing and able to help the common person battle the larger insurance companies who deny claims without merit. The McMinn Law Firm since 2006 has been practicing in the area of family law. The firm will take cases dealing with divorce, custody, child support, and others. This area has developed based upon the needs of the communities in which we practice. The type of clients we represent are the common person in need of legal representation who may not have the current means to pay for the entire case in advance. The firm is willing to begin representation and make alternate payment arrangements if the client qualifies according to our standards. The McMinn Law Firm has also begun representation of criminal cliental. The firm offers some of the best and discreet criminal defense expertise available. Mr. McMinn worked with Criminal District Attorneys in a special program while in Law School at Texas Tech. He gained experience and knowledge in the criminal sector of the law.
